Stockholm is one of the safest cities in the world. However there are a few things to consider:

Pick-pockets: During the summer months Stockholm is visted by hundreds of thousands of tourists. Unfortunately, this also attracts International and Swedish pick-pockets and theives. Typicallly these theives target tourists since they are known to carry cash and valuables. Please maintain proper caution, especially on airports, train stations, cafes, restaurants, hotel lobby etc. and alway keep a watchful eye on your belongings. A typical tactic of these pickpockets is that one person distracts (asks for direction, offers to wipe a stain of icecream off your back) while the other steals your valuables.
